Our Boards
Local Board
Our Local Board hauls two main commodities, steel and lumber. Drivers who want to be home daily will want to be on this board.
Our major steel customers are Stelco and Dofasco. Daily runs leave from Stelco(Nanticoke) to Harrow,Ontario. While other drivers do 3 runs per day out of Stelco or Dofasco going to Maksteel, Concord Steel, Nelson Steel or Taylor Steel.
On the lumber side we go anywhere our customers ask us to go. Multi-stop and full load trips within Ontario run daily. If you are willing overnight trips to Sault Ste. Marie or points in eastern Ontario are regular in the summer.
Heavy Board
The Heavy Board has a combination of daily and overnight runs, but the choice is yours.
This board is for drivers who want some consistency in their dispatch. The main run is from Dofasco to Windsor and reloading at the same plant back to Cambridge or Hamilton. Drivers willing to be out overnight may reload at the same plant but cross into Michigan and Ohio hauling 4, 5 or 6 axle trailer’s. Most of the Drivers running into the USA are in the truck only 1-3 nights per week and make a lot more money.
Tandem Board
On this board you will go anywhere east of the Mississippi River.
The majority of the freight on this board has three main destinations West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Alabama. Reloads are typically pre-planned which means no waiting for backhauls. The commodities hauled on this board in or outbound are generally coils or lumber. All of our flatbeds are equipped with Roll-Tites eliminating the hassle of tarping or oversize loads. This board is generally out Sunday – Friday with occasional Monday departures or Saturday returns.
